TIPS®
The TIPS (Training for Intervention
Procedures) program is designed to teach
servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol
to prevent intoxication, drunk driving
and underage drinking. Eight versions
of the program address concerns specific
to different groups.
The programs currently available include:
On Premise, Off Premise, Social Functions,
Concessions, Casinos, University, Parents
and Workplace. All sessions are taught
by certified TIPS trainers, using video
and printed materials to facilitate
discussion of the course content.

BarCode®
Although BarCode meets the minimum training
requirements in most states, we wanted
to bring to the industry a responsible
alcohol service program that equals
the high standard set by our ServSafe
Food Safety program. This is why ServSafe
Alcohol will be replacing BarCode.

ServSafe®
Alcohol
ServSafe® Alcohol is a server training
course that teaches you and your employees
how to responsibly serve alcohol as
part of the total service experience
you provide for your guests. Recognized
by some insurance and state regulators*,
this course is broken down into four
main training objectives:
- Alcohol Law
and Your Responsibility
- Recognizing
and Preventing Intoxication
- Checking Identification
- Handling Difficult
Situations
After the review, completion and study
of the course content, an examination
is administered by one of our instructors.
Certifications are awarded and mailed
to those candidates that achieved a
passing grade.
